Text Editor Free is a free Android app developed by Unicaus that allows users to easily edit plain text or data files. The app has all the essential features required to make text editing a breeze. It supports large files and long lines, as well as full Unicode support, including complex scripts and right-to-left scripts.
Users can directly edit text files using Windows, UNIX, and Mac text encodings (code pages) and line breaks. The app also allows users to edit all files, even after saving, and automatic backup and working copies prevent data loss.
Text Editor Free can technically edit any file that supports text or characters such as files with extensions of html, srt, doc (only text), docx (only text), nfo, xml, cpp, c, sql. Additionally, the app comes with features such as Save, Save As, Open Recent, and Remember Last File. The Pro version of the app includes Font Selection, Font Size, Auto Save, and Keep Screen On features.
The app supports three languages: English, Russian, and German. It is important to note that files must be saved in internal memory only, as the app does not support SD cards.
